This year PAWS expanded our very successful PALS Placement program to include placing senior dogs with low income senior citizens looking to share their lives with a canine companion. Mary and Max are one such pair. Working with one of our partner rescues, we were able to place Max, an older Boston Terrier with Mary a golden-age lady in need of some terrier companionship.
Max brought along a “bag of tricks” that he has learned over the years – helping Mary make lots of connections with friends and strangers alike when they can watch Max dance, spin, and run through his repertoire of antics to earn a well-deserved hug and cuddle. By supporting PAWS during events like the upcoming Kitsap Great Give, you can help more seniors like Max get a second chance!
