Our Services
Cat Adoption
PAWSBINK finds lifelong, loving homes for cats in collaboration with partners throughout western Washington. Hundreds of families every year find their new best friend at one of PAWS’ adoption locations: 4688 Lynwood Center Road, Bainbridge Island, and 26569 Lindvog Road, Kingston. Or at our outreach locations at the Petco, Poulsbo, and Paws & Fins, Winslow. By adopting from PAWSBINK, you not only gain a loving companion – you save a life! View adoptable cats here!
Cat Sanctuary
PAWSBINK operates a cat sanctuary at a private location. Your generous donations provide ongoing, loving, and humane care for elderly or otherwise unadoptable cats.
Community Cats
If you have free roaming cats that are having litter after litter of kittens, PAWSBINK can help with trap loans, sterilization of the adults, and socialization and placement of the kittens. Please do not drop off cats/kittens at our adoption centers – contact us via email or phone with details of your request. Also note that acceptance of found pets or surrenders may be limited based on shelter capacity.
Community Education
Providing opportunities to share information about responsible pet ownership through special events and other outreach activities that celebrate the human animal bond in our community. Youth education programs allow PAWSBINK to help shape compassion in our next generation.
Kids Corner
Activities and information for young people to learn about responsible pet ownership. Participation in PAWSBINK events and programs is both fun and educational.
Pet Care Library
Information and resources for families with pets in our community, and families interested in learning more about pet ownership. The library also includes reviews of books that celebrate the special bonds between people and animals.
Pet Food Bank
PAWSBINK’s Pet Food Bank program provides cat and dog food to the main food banks on Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap: Fishline, Share Net, CK Food Bank, Helpline House and Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe. Food donations to the program can be made by hosting a food drive or bringing food to one of our collection stations.
Pet Remembrance
PAWSBINK provides resources for coping with the loss of a beloved pet and opportunities for honoring the life of a beloved companion with a memorial gift.
Safe Harbor
PAWSBINK provides emergency and complementary cat boarding for individuals and families in crisis. Currently 30 days of boarding is available, with an opportunity for extension dependent on circumstances.
Senior Support
Sharing your life with a pet can be a life-long joy. Pets & Loving Seniors (PALS) is a unique foster program where we match low-income seniors with a cat or small dog, whilst providing pet ownership support in the form of veterinary costs, pet food and cat litter.
Spay/Neuter Assistance
If you’d like to spay or neuter your pet but aren’t sure where to start, PAWSBINK can help. We’ll get you pointed in the right direction and offer financial assistance to qualified low-income families and individuals. PAWSBINK works to reduce the strain on local shelters by helping low-income families cover expenses for the sterilization of dogs and cats.
Veterinary Financial Assistance
PAWSBINK provides qualified low-income families with emergency financial aid for veterinary expenses. Often this can mean the difference between keeping a beloved pet as part of the family, or being forced to surrender the pet to a shelter in order to receive necessary medical attention. PAWSBINK provides financial grants for the care of owned pets through our network of dedicated local veterinarians.
Mama's Last Litter
PAWSBINK takes in pregnant cats that are owned or found, and cares for them through kitten delivery and weaning. All “mamas” are spayed prior to being returned to their owner, or placed for adoption if a found pet. Kittens are vaccinated, micro-chipped and either spayed or neutered, then placed for adoption. Per pregnant cat, the Last Litter program costs PAWSBINK around $700 in clinical costs alone, but is worth the investment to ensure that cats are healthy and not contributing to overpopulation.
