Legacy Planning

These are impactful gifts that pass through generations of animal companions who benefit from PAWS of Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap (PAWSBINK).  You can help to ensure the stability of and sustain PAWSBINK long into the future with a planned gift such as a bequest. Naming PAWSBINK in your will says you have confidence in the high quality animal care and community programs PAWS provides. Your gift ensures these programs will be well-stewarded and supported beyond your lifetime.

There are many ways these types of planned gifts can be made to PAWSBINK and we are glad to help guide you in your legacy gift. Please contact Diana@pawsbink.org to discuss your plans.

Rainy Day Facility Fund

PAWS of Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap has been helping to create lasting relationships between companion animals and their people for over 40 years. We intend to be a part of our community for at least another 40 years. The Rainy Day Fund is a first step towards achieving these long range goals of continuing to be self-sufficient and meeting the needs of our PAWS family. It is a fund to protect PAWS in case something drastic were to happen to one of our three facilities. Our facilities themselves are covered by insurance but things like covering the cost of transporting and housing animals offsite if the facility was unusable or replacing condos and furniture that were damaged due to unforseen circumstances. These are costs not built into the PAWS operating budget so having a restricted fund set aside just in case is a fiscally responsible choice towards our future.

This secure fund was started by long time Poulsbo PAWS Supporters who are the family of 2011 Spokespet Pixie, in her memory. They have donated a starting fund of $5,000 towards PAWS’s future and hope you will match their gift today. The Rainy Day Fund has been developed with strict guidelines on usage of funds. Expenditure of funds will require approval by a select committee comprised of community members who communicate quarterly to care for this fund.
