PAWS Volunteer Needs

All of the following positions are directed or managed by the Executive Director:  Volunteer Coordinator/Development Assistant, Program Director or the Adoption Program Managers. Although you may work independently, you won’t be left alone to fend for yourself. Help and support are always available.

Adoption Counselors – Be a matchmaker by connecting families and cats and kittens in need of homes.  Keep our facilities sparkling clean and pleasant for the public to visit. This rewarding position requires a minimum monthly, 3 hour commitment.  Training is available and required. Read the Job Description (PDF).

Event Volunteers – Help at one or many of the PAWS events that are hosted each year. Work behind the scenes or directly with event participants. Events include, but are not limited to Spotlight on PAWS (annual dinner/auction) and WagFest (canine celebration).

Feline Enrichment Team (F.E.T.s) – These volunteers provide cleaning, feeding, and socialization for the cats at our Adoption Centers. This rewarding position requires 1 hour each week for 6 months.  Training is available and required. Read the Job Description (PDF).

Foster Homes – provide in home care for cats and kittens. Training provided. PAWS supplies all food and veterinary care- you provide the love! Read the Job Description (PDF).

Pet Food Bank – collection, packaging and distribution of dog and cats food for our Pet Food Bank Program – positions available at our Adoption Centers and in the community, some positions require a vehicle. Read the Job Description (PDF).
